My name is Greg and, as you can see from the information above, I need to make immediate changes in my diet and activity. By my calculations, I need to lose 50 lbs., cut my cholesterol in half, and develop some serious work/play balance in my life.
This blog will be the account of how I accomplished these goals. I will write as often as I can chronicling the changes my diet and activity as well as the results they bring.
I am not an overly athletic person nor am I a man possessing super-human self-discipline. As of today (April 16, 2013), I am just a guy who works too much, stresses too much, eats too much junk food, drinks too much pop, and spends way too much time in an office chair.
It seems like a daunting task, but with the help of my friends and family, I will succeed. I have conquered tough things in life before and this is sure to be a struggle, however it is a struggle that I endure for the sake of my wife, my children, my friends, and myself. I never knew my maternal grandfather, because he died in his forties of heart disease. I will not go out like that. I will do whatever it takes to be present in the lives of as many future generations of my family as possible.
